The students of St. Louis High School received their “Matchomatics” results the week of Feb. 9-13, outside of Mrs. Biehl’s room. The students paid $2 apiece, which goes towards the Pep Club.
Some students were surprised with who they got matched with and others expected to get who they got. The students all took a survey about their personalities, and whoever they had a similar personality with is who they ended up being matched with. Brione Maclaren was one of the students who was matched with someone she expected to get matched with. She said, “These were the people I expected to get matched with because the person I had as my number one also had me as their number one and they are one of my best friends.”
The students all have different experiences with Matchomatics. Gracie Lombard said, “I didn’t expect who I got matched with, and I think it’s interesting that the guy I got matched with also got matched with me as their number one. I personally think that this was the experience I’ve had because the first time I did, I got matched with my brother.” Izabelle Stiffler said, “I think it’s a fun way to participate in school spirit! I already have a partner, so I mainly did it to support the Pep Club and to see which one of my friends I will get matched with. I also find it interesting to talk about the commonalities shared with people you wouldn’t otherwise learn about. I was delighted to find out that I am astrologically aligned with Ryan Gosling since he is a Scorpio and I’m a Pisces. If nothing else, I am glad I spent the money to find that out.”
So in conclusion Matchomatics is a great way to fundraise for the Pep Club and for the school to participate in school spirit.
