St. Louis High School’s Rotary Club began hosting Coins for a Cause for the month of November.
This is a school-wide fundraiser to help support individuals in the community who are experiencing homelessness. Containers have been placed in each advisory class where students can donate coins and dollar bills all through the month. Donations will be collected right before Thanksgiving break, so students bring in some spare coins and dollar bills.
Mrs. Godwin, the rotary advisor, says, “Let’s come together to spread kindness and generosity this season and show how Sharks support our community.”
The advisory class with the most amount of money collected earns a pizza party! Nick Hornbuckle says, “I think it’s a good way to positively give back to the community, and help others, as well as make you feel better about yourself.”
