The bowling team of Saint Louis celebrated its seniors at the last bowling meet. It was a very emotional night. Alexis Hitsman said that, “It was very sad since this is my last year and that I am going to miss it. Everyone was like a family as opposed to a team.” They have all grown a bond together and have learned to work together, as well as how to work as a team. The bowling captain, Harley Mader, said that, “It’s sad to see it come to an end because I love the sport and it means a lot to me. But I am excited for states and regionals.”
They have worked hard all season, putting up a wonderful record. The girls division came out victorious against Pinconning, winning by two points. Unfortunately, the boys division lost to Pinconning on senior night. Thailan Raby said, “It’s hard because we didn’t work as a team like we have in the past, and I feel like some of us have got in our heads that we are better than everyone else, and we all need to work on spares because strikes win games and spares win matches.”
Hayden Mader said, “It kinda sucks we are not undefeated anymore because we had a really good run, but I think it was kind of a good thing because it brought us back down to a good level and also I’m very upset about it being my last years bowling because I really love the sport and the times I had in it, as well as the team and family I built while being in the sport.”
In conclusion, the seniors on the bowling team have had mixed feelings as the bowling season is beginning to come to an end. Regardless of how the seniors are feeling, they have done a tremendous job within their final season.
