St. Louis Student Council hosted a Halloween spirit week. The week of October 26-31, there were monsters, memes, and parts of the Addams family roaming around the halls.
The first day was “Monster Mash Monday”. This day encouraged students to dress like a monster, mummy or some type of creature. This day had all types of monsters roaming around the halls and learning in classes.
Tuesday was “Tired Tuesday”. This day encouraged students to dress like they just got out of bed and went to school. Students were learning even though they just woke up. This day was probably the most dressed up day since it was the easiest day to do.
Wednesday was “Wednesday Addams day”. This encouraged students to dress up like a member of the Addams family. Not a lot of people dressed up since this was one of, if not the hardest, day to dress up since a lot of people don’t have anything to wear like the Addams family.
Thursday was “Meme Thursday”. This had students dressing up as internet sensations like the Louvre robber and Timothee Chalamet on SNL. Students were recreating their memes all throughout the day.
Friday was the one and only Halloween. This had students dressing up like it was a haunted house at school. Ghostface, clowns, even the guitarist of Guns and Roses were there. This day was probably the most exciting because it was Halloween. Xavier Ramirez, an SLHS freshman, says, “How my costume compared to other students was that my costume was all one piece and I was in a group so it was easy.”
This spirit week was probably one of the most fun spirit weeks (setting aside homecoming) . Every day felt like a haunted house . This spirit week was one of the most lively days all throughout the school years.
