Theaters worldwide are preparing for the rush expected in mid-February, when Captain America: Brave New World releases on Feb. 14!
The movie features Sam Wilson’s struggle with carrying on the legacy of Captain America and showcases the election of Thaddeus Ross as the president of the United States. Wilson soon finds himself at the center of an international incident and must work to uncover and stop the true masterminds behind it.
Additionally, fan-favorite castings will be featured in the movie with Harrison Ford playing Thaddeus Ross after the previous actor, William Hurt, passed away in 2022. On top of everything, actor Giancarlo Esposito, known mostly for his portrayal of the villainous drug kingpin Gustavo “Gus” Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, is going to be playing the leader of the Serpent Society Sidewinder, his character has had fan anticipating for his arrival for years. Senior Elliot Carter stated, “The casting list is perfect, and even if the story flops, the actors alone could produce performances that are enough to turn even that around!”
Anticipation for the movie is high with Sophomore Bryce Buchanan stating he is, “Very excited for the new Captain America movie because of the introduction of Redhulk played by Harrison Ford, and Falcon getting his movie!” This sentiment is also shared by Billy Campbell, who stated, “I am excited to see the Red Hulk. I have always wanted to see this character in a live-action and I am glad it is finally happening.”
Students are excited to see the movie when it drops in theaters on the 14th, sophomore Emma Layton stated that she is, “Excited to watch Captain America fighting Red Hulk with my dad!” The anticipation is great, to say the least!
