Halfway through the 2019-2020 Shark Wars, teams are competing vigorously for first place. With everyone tirelessly competing in events, there are two teams clearly taking charge.

In second place at the time with 90 points was Mrs. Dubridge’s team Redemption. After a strong win in Scattergories, Redemption pulled to within four points of Back to the Bad Beery’s. Anthony Vera-Carillo commented, “In each event, our whole team collaborates to get the points, so in the next event we’re going to steal first place back.”

As previously stated, Back to the Bad Beery’s was in first place at the time with 94 points. Owen Downs said, “We have great teamwork and know-how to bring the “We are going to keep winning and beating other teams in order to secure the first place.”

Back to the Bad Beery’s was in first until they suffered a tough defeat to team Redemption during door decorating and ugly Christmas sweater day. This resulted in Redemption claiming first place again with 119 points and with Back to the Bad Beery’s slid back to second with 117.

In the last place is Ms. Nobis with a total of 40 points. The team Rear of the Year has taken last in every event so far except for one. Camron Troyer said, “I’m actually very happy with how my team is doing considering our goal is to get ‘rear of the year’.”

With teams not far behind, it will be a close race to the top. Teams like Bernstein Bears, Biehl’s Bros, and The BG Bunch are still in positions to make a comeback this year.
