With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the St. Louis High School Cheer team is selling flowers for the upcoming holiday! This a fundraiser for the team, as they began thinking about the future for next year! Sales will take place from Feb.1, to Feb. 10, and will be delivered on Feb. 14, during fourth hour! Roses will be sold for $3.00 each. Carnations will be sold for $2.00 each or three for $5.00.

Sales will take place at lunch in the cafeteria next to the stage! Senior Autumn Mann can be found with the sign-up sheet. There will be Valentine’s cards to fill out so that students can write a note and write who the flower is for. One can choose whether or not to be anonymous. Students will have to pick the flower along with the quantity! However, there is also an online sign-up sheet that can be found on the Cheer team’s Instagram page at stlouischeer.

Coach Gabrielle Beckett expressed, “The main goal is to spread love and appreciation! Our fundraising goal is to help cover the cost of cheer champ and tumbling lessons; we want to compete this coming up year, which means we will be investing a lot of money in the team to get us where we need to be.”

Beckett also said, “When I was in high school, we always did a Valentine’s fundraiser and everyone had so much fun with it. Most people think Valentine’s day is for couples, but it’s a great way to show appreciation for anyone in your life– friends, teachers, secret admirers, girlfriends, or boyfriends. It’s so fun to see someone’s face light  up when they get a flower they might not have been expecting to get.”

Mikayla Haag also expressed, “I’m excited for this fundraiser because it gives us a chance to celebrate Valentine’s day while also benefiting us and our account. I’m excited to see if any of my friends or I receive any flowers.”

Evelynn Gutierrez stated, “I believe this a great way for us to make a little money but also gives us a chance to come closer in the community. This whole fundraiser is cute and really fun!”
