Best Halloween Candy of all time

Maria Puga-Trevino, Writer

Kids running around, raking leaves, and parents bundling up their children in warm clothes is a sign of cool weather. When most people think of cool weather, they think of Autumn. Around the months of Autumn, multiple holidays occur. Everyone’s favorite, Halloween, is a day of  joyous laughter, costumes, candy, and frights!

Over the years, there has been a constant battle of which candy is superior to all others. From Candy Corn, to Twix bars, there are a plethora of options to choose from. However, what candy(s) is truly the best? Who gets to decide this? Can people support their claims sufficiently enough? Is it possible to have a “Best Halloween Candy,” decision?

According to Felicia Lalomia, a writer from Delish, “Regular, peanut, or mini, these are the top candy of Halloween (and any day, really). Practically no kid gets upset about M&M’s, and they were not often up for trading because everyone liked to keep them. For that reason and so many more, M&M’s reign supreme.”

For some, it might be hard to choose which candy is the best. But for others, not so much.

Evelynn Gutierrez, a senior at St. Louis, said, “I would easily pick a Butterfinger or a classic Hershey’s chocolate bar.”

Mikayla Haag, another senior here said, “Personally, I really like chocolate; however, I can’t have much because a lot of  chocolate is dairy based. If I were to choose, I’d much rather choose a mild candy with less sugar so I can enjoy it without problems. To be honest, I think I would go with your classic Jolly-Rancher or sucker.”
