iMessage games are as popular as ever for the students of Saint Louis Highschool.

Whether it’s during downtime in class, on the bus to a sporting event, or just being lazy at home, students love to play imessage games. The app GamePigeon is a mobile party game for iOS devices, and was developed by Vitalii Zlotskii. It was released on Sept. 13, 2016. The game took advantage of the iOS 10 update, which expanded how users could interact with Apple’s Messages app.

GamePigeon has mini games that are accessible in the messages app. You can send the games to friends, as long as they have an iphone, and they can compete in mini games. The games include 8ball, basketball, archery, cup pong, ect.

Junior GamePigeon master Jenna Abell loves to play. She commented, “I like basketball the best out of the game pigeon games because I am really good at it. It’s easy to learn too. I like iMessage games because it’s fun to play with my friends. It’s super convenient too.”

Another student, Abigail Conn, also enjoys Gamepigeon, “I prefer archery to any of the other iMessage games. I’m the best at that one, but all the games are fun. It’s enjoyable to have a little competition with my friends!”

The most popular game is pool. It has two modes: 8ball and 8ball+. You also can play in normal or hard mode. 8ball is like a regular pool. You can position the cue where you want it and adjust how hard you push it. 8ball+ is the same as regular, except the balls are scattered across the table to start the game.
