The St.Louis boys’ and girls’ cross country teams started their season at the Chippewa Hills Invitational Tuesday, Aug 24, with the boys’ varsity finishing in first place with 103 points and the girls’ in first place with a score of 81.

According to head coach Jay Puffpaff, Aaron Bowerman led the boys in second place with 18:15 with Ben March nipping at his heels at 18:36 and Dylan Marr in a long third at 19:05.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Libby Munderloh led her Shark team with a 20:29. Mikenna Borie was next at 21:20 and Jaiden Dickman clocked in at 21:59.

According to Bowerman, “We got to see where we were. We also got to see where we stood against a couple large D2 teams. Overall, it was a nice refresh from the downtime of summer.”

The Sharks will race again Sept. 8, at Shepherd.
