Saint Louis High School is bursting with fresh faces this year with an abundance of 32 new students.

Having so many new students can be a very exciting time for SLHS. Especially with having additions to sports teams. Braden Ball, a senior who moved this year from St. John’s High School, is interested in participating in Shark football and wrestling. He commented on the moving process, “St. Louis is a lot smaller than my old school, but I thought it seemed friendly. My favorite part of moving schools is meeting new people and making new friends. My least favorite part is the complicated transfer process, so I have to wait to play sports.” He also said that the biggest difference between his old and new school is that at his old school, no one used their lockers and they all carried around their backpacks.

Another new student, Victor Parlove, moved from Breckenridge. When asked about his favorite thing about Saint Louis so far, he responded, “The football game because it’s way more hyped than my old school.” He said that the biggest difference between Saint Louis and Breckenridge is the amount of people and size of building.

Another addition to the senior class, Coty Ireland, moved from Flushing. He commented, “The school environment is great and friendly including the staff. Also, the teachers and community are very involved in sports compared to my old school.” When asked, many other students said that St. Louis was very welcoming compared to their old schools.
