The St. Louis Varsity baseball team competed against Valley Lutheran at home Tuesday, April 13, in a doubleheader. The Sharks beat the Chargers in both games with the scores being 4-0 and 7-5.

Cade Pestrue pitched tremendously in the first game and totaled 10 strikeouts by the end of the night. He only gave up three hits in the six innings he pitched. Pestrue mentioned, “It was a great game overall. We pitched well and I think we could do better as a team if we can be a little more aggressive at the plate.”

In the second game, Thomas Zacharko pitched tremendously as well. He pitched three innings with a total of five strikeouts and one hit overall. Zacharko included, “We played great last night. We struggled batting at some points, but we still managed to put enough runs up to win the games. Our defense played really well so we could get on and off the field.”

For the night, Tegan Inbody went 3-5 at the plate, totaling four RBIs with one run scored. The Sharks are back in action Apr. 14, away against Sanford Meridian with the game starting at 4:00 p.m.
