Girls golf competed at a TVC Jamboree hosted at the Fortress in Frankenmuth Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Coach Andrea Biehl said, “The Fortress is a challenging course to play, and Frankenmuth certainly capitalized on their home course advantage. As a team, we need to continue working on our short game if we want to see scores drop.”

Senior Skylar Rodriguez commented, “The Fortress is such a hard course to play, and it makes you think a lot more about your shots. I got the leading score with a 53, but it definitely wasn’t my best score this season. Overall, we had a good day and I’m super happy that we were able to golf the Fortress in sunny weather.”

The Lady Sharks finished third at Wednesday’s TVC Jamboree, finishing ahead of Ithaca and John Glenn by only two strokes. Leading the way was Rodriguez with a 53 and Alexandra Pawlitz with a 56. Next up for the Sharks is the Lady Tullymore invite Monday, Sept. 21.
