Has the incredibly popular Fortnite lost its appeal?

Fortnite is a game made by EpicGames and available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and certain computers. The game has been hot recently and has been around since 2019.

Fortnite was released on July 25, 2017. It wasn’t until 2018 that Fortnite took over the world. Hundreds of thousands of people played Fortnite during its hayday. The first sign of the end was early 2019.

According to multiple sources, Fortnite really lost it when most people playing it were little kids. According to Grant Bebow, “It’s a stupid game and there is nothing special about it. There are probably 100 more games just like it.” Bebow continued, “Minecraft is way better. You don’t need any skill to play it, there are more things to do, and all ages can enjoy Minecraft.”

A second source had a less harsh opinion on the former king of games. Liam Fuentes had this to say: “Sometimes I enjoy it, but it’s boring when I’m not playing with others.” As you can see, Fuentes can still find things to enjoy in the game. His testimony differs greatly from the cold and calculated approach by Bebow.

While the game still exists today, the minnow is far from the shark it used to be. While the numbers aren’t as giant as they used to be, the game still has some remnants of a fanbase. One can only guess what the next step, or should I say cash grab, will be. The game keeps affiliating with popular brands, such as Star Wars or Batman, but this seems to not change much from the game itself.
