St. Louis girls’ golf competed in their last TVC jamboree of the year Oct. 7, 2019, at Twin Oaks golf course in Freeland.

According to Ella Mader, “The golf course was really nice and it wasn’t a bad course overall. However, I did struggle with the water a few times and lost multiple balls. The girls I golfed with were super nice, and I hope I can play golf with them again. My team did pretty well through the season and finished at a strong spot for the end of the season.”

Mackenzie Strong added, “My first hole started off terrible, and then as I golfed more, my score decreased. I also got my first par and it was pretty exciting!”

The girls finished seventh out of eight teams at this TVC Jamboree. Alexandra Pawlitz and Strong led the Sharks shooting 59’s, while Mader shot a 66. Freeland finished first at the last jamboree of the season, while Frankenmuth finished first in the conference overall. The Lady Sharks ended the season in fifth place overall in the TVC. Skylar Rodriguez finished 12th in the conference and received second Team All Conference. Varsity girls’ golf is back in action at regionals hosted by Shepherd Oct. 11, 2019.
