Coffee shops have been increasing in popularity lately and students at Saint Louis High School are asking: Which is better, Starbucks or Biggby?
When it comes to grabbing a cup of coffee, two names often come to mind: Biggby Coffee and Starbucks. These two coffee giants have carved out their own in the competitive coffee market, and each offers a unique experience to customers. While Starbucks is renowned for its global presence and sophisticated ambiance, Biggby has built a loyal following with its friendly atmosphere and community-focused approach. However, students are still wondering: which one is better?
Some students, such as junior Lillian Billings who likes Starbucks, stated, “I think Starbucks [is better] because you get so much more for a cheaper price. Biggby, I feel during lunch is so rushed and you never get back on time. I think Starbucks is so calm and the ladies are so nice. My drinks always finish fast. Plus, the ambiance at Starbucks is perfect for relaxing or getting some work done. Starbucks is my all-time favorite.”
Others prefer Biggby like junior Izabelle Stiffler who stated, “Overall, I like Biggby. Biggby has better pricing and deals like BOGO on Wednesdays while Starbucks’ prices rise quickly with customizations. I do think Starbucks definitely has a preferable seasonal menu, but that’s the only avantage I think Starbucks has. As far as customer service goes, I love the new policy of writing on cups at Starbucks. It’s fun and interesting, but that’s really the only thing that tips the scale. Baristas at both places are friendly and kind and fun to talk to, because they are usually nice people regardless of where they are employed.”
Overall, It seems like if one prefers better pricing, Biggby is cheaper and affordable, while for those who prefer customer service Starbucks seems stronger in that aspect.
