Varsity girls’ golf competed in a TVC Jamboree hosted by Ithaca Aug. 23, 2019. The Lady Sharks tied with Ithaca and finished behind Frankenmuth, Freeland, Valley, and Standish. Skylar Rodriguez led the team with a 53, while Gracelyn Bebow came in second shooting a 54.

According to varsity girls’ golf coach Andrea Biehl, “The girls are starting to gain confidence and bring in lower scores. I was very proud of their improvement from last week. Our team score improved by 19 strokes! The girls are really starting to hit the ball well off the tee. We need to continue working on our short game.”

According to Skylar Rodriguez, “It was a nice day for golf. We may not have finished our best, but we are keeping positive minds and looking for great things to come.”

Even though the weather was humid, and it looked as if it was going to storm, the girls pushed through the nine holes and placed 5th place overall, while trailing 2 strokes behind Valley Lutheran.  The Lady Sharks are back in action Sept. 4, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. for a TVC Jamboree hosted by Garber.
