The St. Louis Junior Varsity football team dominated the Montabella Mustangs Wednesday, August 28 in front of a boisterous home crowd. The Sharks controlled both sides of the ball as the final score to the game was 58-0.

Sophomore Ignatius Jackson had an incredible game with over 300 yards and a total of five touchdowns. Also, Sophomore Rafael Orta Vazquez had a great game with two touchdowns, while Reece Giles had a touchdown and Ben Dousah added five carries for over 90 yards!

On defense Sophomore Michael Baysah had over five sacks for a loss, furthermore, Dousah had multiple tackles as well.

Jackson stated, “The first game was a good game. In order for us to keep winning, we are going to have to take practice seriously and stay focused in school in order to stay eligible. I think we are capable of going undefeated.”

There were a lot of doubts going into this season for the JV sharks. Due to early injuries and low team numbers. There was a constant struggle for substitutions during the game with players playing positions that they had never played before. Although that problem was present, the Sharks managed to execute their first victory.
