Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will begin its second season of action with many new additions for the game starting Tuesday, Jan. 28.
At the start of the second season, Black Ops 6 will receive a few new additions to the game. First of all, a new season means that a new battle pass full of weapons, skins, and cosmetics for players to earn will be coming to the game to replace the battle pass released in the first season. It is believed this battle pass will include a community-beloved submachine gun being the MP-40.
Aside from the new battle pass and weapon, this season is most hyped for the release of the new zombies game-mode map called “The Tomb.” This map will feature a desert-like setting that is based on the ancient burial grounds of catacombs dating back to 2500 B.C.E.
“I think the new season will make the game better. Especially with the Squid Game event out, it will bring them more money. The new zombies map does look good, but I don’t think the developers are the best at keeping the game good. I will have to try it though,” said sophomore Gavin Yarnell, who represented mixed feelings regarding the new additions that will be added the next season.
“I’m excited to see that Treyarch is bringing back one of the fan favorite elements of the older games in the series,” stated Elliot Carter after hearing about the return of the MP-40 to the game.
Yarnell continued, “I still think the MP40 is gonna be better in the past games to be honest.” He believes the older games will always have the edge when it comes to the classic MP-40.
Overall, students at St. Louis have some mixed feelings, but are hopeful about what is to come with the new Black Ops 6 season.
