Student council is a student lead club intent on boosting school morale and fixing issues present in the school. Additionally, StuCo hosts events like school wide assemblies and spirit weeks to keep students motivated.
“As a student council, we plan assemblies and other school events to boost student morale while also working to improve some issues that are present. I believe we have made a good impact on the student body as a whole. This year has been full of new ideas and it has helped boost school spirit,” stated student council president and senior Elly Starry “Student council could definitely work on some things. I believe most of the things we can work on will improve more with time as we get used to running events and switching advisors,” she added.
“Recently the student council sent out forms to the students to gather information. With that information, the student council is planning on finding ways that we can improve the problems on the list. If there is a problem that is consistent in our data, we hope to find a solution that can help resolve the problems,” stated Senior Rebakah Ross. “I think there are a couple things the student council could work on such as communication amongst ourselves and also to the student body. There are a couple things that I feel aren’t as best communicated as they could be,” she concluded.
Sophomore Lily Wing stated, “I think since it’s still the beginning of the year, we haven’t made that big of an impact, but I definitely think the dance and assembly we had was one of the best we’ve had in a while. We are very excited for the rest of the year, and we are excited for Kaiser’s new plans.”
