The Varsity Girls and Boys Bowling teams bowled against Shepherd and Alma, Saturday, Jan. 5, at the Hardwoods in Ithaca.

“In our first match and the beginning of the day we struggled, but as the day went on and we started bowling our Peterson, we really began to step it up and started to pull out good scores,” said Senior Jazmin Milks.

The Varsity Girls were victorious over Shepherd in a close match of 17-13, but sadly fell to Alma 28-2. Milks led the team and overall bowled 200, 207, 178, and 140 throughout the day. The boys bowling team went 2-0 throughout the day beating Alma 28-2 and topped Shepherd 22-8. Hunter Seeley was overall the best bowler for the boys.

According to Jordan Bissell, “I’m already seeing big improvements with the team this year, and it’s really exciting to see how successful we are doing this year.”

Both teams will compete in Saginaw, Jan. 12, at Crooked Creek Bowling Center.
