The St. Louis varsity girls’ golf team took eighth place out of 10 teams at the Alma Invitational, Sept. 23, 2019.

Chloe’ Baxter commented, “The course was incredibly wet, but it was still fun to play it even though my score wasn’t the best.”

Coach Biehl said, “The girls got to golf with Lansing Catholic Central, a team that consistently makes it to the state finals every year. It was a good experience for them to golf with this level of competition.”

Chloe’ Baxter led the team with a 121, while Skylar Rodriguez shot a 122 and Alexandra Pawlitz shot a 123. Lansing Cathlotic and Haslett both shot a 374 to tie for first place, and Portland shot a 426 to come in second place.

The Lady Sharks may not have performed their best, but they pulled through with a 510. The girls are back in action at two TVC Jamborees, one hosted by Alma and the other one hosted by the Sharks, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019.
