St. Louis girls’ golf competed in their golf regionals at Mt. Pleasant Country Club, Oct. 8, 2025.
Coach Biehl said, “The girls did a great job chipping! A lot of good chips, everyone was able to keep a positive attitude, and that’s a big part of golf; no tears were shed! We had a good day.”
The team score at the end was 487, and they started the season with above 520, so they experienced big improvements on a tough course.
For the team, Hudsyn Humble led with a 109, and she finished in 15th place out of 70 golfers. Devine Francisco was second with a 112, Grace Devine third with a 121, Oliva Rhon was fourth with a 145, and Kayleigh Parks finished fifth with a 162.
With those scores, senior Devine Francisco added, “I did better than last year. I’m proud of how all of us did individually and as a team, and I’m glad I finished strong.” Even with the challenging hole number five in the course, Grace Devine stated, “I did pretty good, better than last year on this course.”
With that, the season has ended. Senior Devine Francisco said, “My favorite memory from this season was making friends with people from other schools.” Grace Devine added her favorite memory from this year, that being, “how close we were as a team and how good we got along. It was a really good experience. I loved our mock rock this year. I also crushed my PR this year at Shepherd.” With only one senior leaving and the five starters left, the future looks bright for next year’s golf team.
