Jeff DeRosia, a teacher at TS Nurnberger Middle School, was recently hired as the new varsity baseball head coach at St. Louis High School. Fifteen students signed up at the first sign-up meeting Oct. 1, 2025. A second sign-up meeting is scheduled for spring before the season starts.
DeRosia has over 25 years of coaching experience and is excited to breathe new life into the program. “Over the past few years, our program has struggled,” DeRosia says. “My goal is to win more games than last year, focus on player development, and encourage more students to play baseball.”
He plans to start off-season workouts in early December with four player workouts. The official start of practice is in March. He will also run clinics for youth in the spring. DeRosia has extensive coaching experience, including Little League, junior-varsity assistant coaching, and youth travel ball. In his 25 seasons of coaching, he has only had one losing season. “My first goal is to win games,” DeRosia added. “My second is player development. And third, I want to bring respect back to the program.” He is enthusiastic and experienced. St. Louis baseball fans can definitely look forward to the upcoming season.
