With Halloween creeping around the corner, Saint Louis High School kids are getting ready for all the spooky excitement and are on the verge of “dying” to go to haunted attractions.
Halloween is a time of year to dress up, party, hand out or receive candy, drink apple cider, and eat donuts, visit haunted attractions, have sleep overs, watch scary movies, carve pumpkins, and decorate houses to make them the spookiest house on the block. The festive atmosphere, combined with the chance to be playful and imaginative, makes Halloween a fun time for all the kids at the Shark Tank.
One shark Halloween fan, sophomore Kayleigh Parks, stated, “I feel so excited for this year’s fall season to start. I am expecting to drink a lot of pumpkin spice lattes and wear my best Halloween/fall outfits. I am very excited for Scream 7 to come out. It is my all time favorite! Yes, I will be dressing up. I am dressing up as the rat from Ratatouille with my boyfriend Noah as the chef.” Kayleigh Parks is ready for the spooktastic events, but she said, “I fear most of all the people in spooky costumes. I’m scared of Terror on 27, but I will be having so much fun with my family.”
Some others in the school also have a strong feeling for Halloween. Junior Grace Devine stated, “I cannot believe it’s almost Halloween. This year is going by fast. I’m expecting a lot of Mason 67 costumes. I’m not sure yet if I’ll be dressing up. I don’t know any of the Halloween movies coming out. I do not like scary movies so that’s probably why. I’m scared of ghosts and clowns.”
Another one of our spooky fans, Freshman Xavier Ramirez, states, “My favorite part about Halloween is the trick or treat. I can’t believe it’s almost Halloween and I’m excited for it! I’m expecting no snow. I’m not sure if I’m dressing up yet, but if I do I’m either being a cowboy or berserk from family friends. I know the movie Black Phone 2 is coming out and I’m excited for that. I have no fears for Halloween and will not be going to any haunted attractions.”
Spooky season is here! Celebrate the month by enjoying the month with your peers and family. Keep them close on Halloween. You never know what horrors await you on Halloween night.
