The St. Louis high school spring sports practices have started. Students are excited to kick off the spring season. Last year the varsity softball team won districts and this year the team is hoping to go farther. St. Louis has quite a few girls playing softball this year, enough to have a JV and varsity team.
Senior Brynn Saxton stated, “The first week of softball was great with improvements being seen already by a lot of people.” Saxton then added, “I am mostly looking forward to the memories with the team and improvements from everyone.”
Another player, sophomore Grace Devine commented, “My first week of softball went very well, we have a very solid team and should be a very strong team this season.”
Another sophomore, Courtney VanAlstine stated, “The first week of softball practice went pretty well in my opinion. There are some pretty good freshmen that have come to make our high school team better due to having our good seniors leaving last year.” She then said, “I am not sure how the season might go, it looks like we have a tough schedule this year. We just have to keep helping each other out and helping each other get better. This season looks like it’s going to be fun and I can’t wait for the games to begin.”
Overall, it’s safe to say that all the girls are excited for the games to begin this season. They are all ready to have a fun and great season and hopefully make it farther than last year in regionals.
