With St. Louis High School supporting off-campus travel, many students choose to eat elsewhere rather than the school’s cafeteria. Any students can choose places like McDonalds and Biggby, while other options include Subway, Main Street, and EZ Mart.
“My favorite place is McDonalds because nobody will bother me and my friends. My favorite type of food is french fries, which they do indeed sell at McDonalds,” said junior Harlee Dowd. “If I had a chance to add something new to the McDonalds menu, I would not be sure because I am not that picky,” she added.
“I think my favorite off-campus spot would have to be Subway because it is quick, easy, and good. My favorite food is sushi, and I wish they sold it at Subway,” said sophomore Annika Cool. “If I could add something to their menu I would want it to be sushi,” she added.
“I would have to agree the best place to eat off-campus is Subway. I love getting a good wrap or a sub, and they are never as busy as McDonalds. My favorite food would be a Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread wrap and, yes, they sell those at Subway. It’s a big reason why I go there,” said junior Lillian Billings. “If I could have one item added to the menu it would be, like some french fries. A combo or something with the sub or wrap you get, because I think more people would buy french fries with their subs,” Billings added.
“I honestly have different favorites depending on a couple of things. For example, if I have enough money, I really enjoy eating at the Blue Shamrock. However, if I don’t have a lot of cash, I go to McDonalds. If I have enough cash, and I have enough time, I will always be down for a bagel from Biggby,” said senior Rebekah Ross. “My favorite lunch food is definitely chicken tenders, or chicken nuggets. When it comes to that type of food, I can always count on McDonalds or Blue Shamrock. But every now and then, my favorite is a bragel, and then I can just go to Biggby. Honestly, I am such a picky eater, I don’t think I would add anything, maybe a steak, but that isn’t really a lunch thing,” Ross concluded.
