St. Louis High School will come together once again February 1, 2025, to dance at this year’s winter formal.
As the dance approaches, spirit days take place during the week of January 27-31st. So far, Monday was “Anything but a Water Bottle” day and students were able to get creative with their hydration by bringing in anything except for their water bottles. Tuesday’s theme was “Tropical Tuesday,” and students were able to escape the winter chill by wearing their best tropical gear to school. Wednesday was “Alphabet Soup” day, and students dressed as anything that is the same letter that their name starts with. Thursday, students will travel back in time to their favorite decade for “Throwback Thursday,” dressing in the fashion from whichever decade they choose. Friday, students will be seen in their robes, hair curlers, and face masks to show off their best “Getting Ready for the Dance,” outfit.
Student Council advisor, Mrs. Kaiser said, “I am really excited for this dance and to be part of hopefully starting a new tradition! I hope to see a good turn out from our student body.” This winter formal is in fact a new dance coming to our school, and it should be an exciting experience for the students at St. Louis High School.
The dance will take place Saturday, February 1, at 7:00 p.m. in the gym, where students will be able to dance the night away while listening to some great tunes. The theme for this Saturday’s dance is “Frozen in Time,” and many students are very excited. Mason St. John expressed his excitement about the dance when he said, “I’m really excited for the winter formal. It’s going to be the first dance I’m going to with my girlfriend, so I’m excited to see and experience the new winter formal.”
As St. Louis High School’s first winter formal is just around the corner, the students’ excitement is growing as they participate in this week’s fun-filled spirit days.
