Here at St. Louis High School, some students feel overwhelmed with homework.
Most of these problems come from the student’s home life or from students procrastinating their work till it’s too late.
Harlee Dowd said, “It’s pretty stressful because some teachers will give massive amounts of work when you already have work on top of that.”
Some ways students could help with their abundance of homework is simply asking their parents or teachers for assistance with the work they need to finish.
Some students under pressure will download applications on their phone that allows them to cheat which puts them in a mindset they can cheat any time, but when they do this, they don’t teach themselves. This won’t help them be able to reach their goals in the future.
Mr. Miller said, “One way that students can get help is to go to the homework lab on Fridays. Another way for them to get help is to ask Mr. Brock for assistance.”
Other reasons students feel overworked is if they have a job or if they have a lot of chores to do with their daily routine.
One way to fix these problems is to ask your boss if you could get less hours of work, so you could have the chance to relax from the hours built up.
Another solution for these problems is to ask your parents for assistance because they probably went through the same things students are going through right now.
