With Christmas right around the corner, St. Louis High School students are starting to get into the Christmas spirit and are talking about what Christmas movies to watch this year. They are also talking about which Chritsmas movie is the best and what their favorites are.
Sophomore Courtney VanAlstine said, “I love Christmas movies. I love the Hallmark movies the best because of the romance in them. I think a lot of Christmas movies have romance in them though, which is why I like them so much.” She then added, “My favorite Christmas movie to watch is Four Christmases. I like this movie because it’s somewhat romantic and funny. I also like it because it’s about family.”
Another student, sophomore Karli Hardy said, “I love Christmas movies. They are so comforting. Christmas movies remind me of when I was little when my family had an annual Christmas Eve movie night.” She added, “My favorite Chrismtas movie is Home Alone. I like the movie because it is so nostalgic, and it’s just a good movie overall.”
Junior Jackson Shattuck said, “I think Christmas movies are fun to watch sometimes. It really depends on what movie it is. I don’t like romantic Christmas movies. They don’t interest me at all. I prefer to watch comedy Christmas movies.” He then added, “My favorite Christmas movie is the movie Christmas Chronicles. I like this movie because it has a hellcat in it.”
Overall, it is safe to say that most people enjoy watching Christmas movies. However everyone has a different opinion on the kind of Christmas movie to watch though whether it be comedy or romance.
