At St. Louis High School, students are talking about if Christmas music should be played right after Halloween, or if it should not be played until closer to Thanksgiving. Is it too early to start listening to Christmas music?
Junior Olivia Lane said, “I love Christmas. It’s never too early to listen to Christmas music.” Lane added, “I think it’s okay to listen to Christmas music before Halloween, but not too much. I think it’s more normal for people to listen to it after Halloween though.”
Another student, sophomore Grace Devine said, “I do not think it is too early for Christmas music. I myself am currently listening to it right now.” She added, “I think it is also perfectly fine to listen to Christmas music the day after Halloween. I do not see anything wrong with listening to it before December. The more you listen to Christmas music before Christmas, the more you can get into the Christmas spirit.”
Junior Olivia Coffin agrees and said, “I don’t think it’s too early to be listening to Christmas music. In fact, the day after Halloween is when I start decorating for Christmas and listening to Christmas music.” She then added, “So I do believe that Christmas music should be played the day after Halloween to get into the Christmas spirit.”
Overall, I think it is very clear that most people agree that it is not too early to be listening to Christmas music, and that it’s better to listen to it after Halloween to get into the Christmas spirit.
