With the both highly-praised and highly-hated season of Fortnite, Chapter Five: Season Four, coming to an end Nov. 2, the most anticipated season of Fortnite is finally here.
With the iconic Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and other popular artists coming to the game alongside the return of the Shadow versus Ghost storyline from Chapter Two: Season Two, there is plenty to be excited about.
This latest season brings the addition of the newest Fortnite: Reload map, made entirely of sandy dunes and cliffs similar to what someone would find in Arizona. Christian Gutierrez, a junior at St. Louis High School and an avid Fortnite player, says, “The new season of Fortnite is amazing compared to last season. I’m really excited to see what they will bring to the table for the new season.” He gave the season an overall 10 out of 10 rating.
Not only is Fortnite known for its gunplay and unique mechanics, it’s also great for musicians! Epic Games, the creators of Fortnite and its I.P., created Fortnite Festival at the very beginning of this chapter. With Guitar Hero-like gameplay, people like Benjamin Godfrey, a fellow junior and player, are extra excited with the heavy focus on rap music and its culture. “I like the new fortnite festival update a lot. It’s definitely better than before,” he said. However, he gave the season an eight out of 10.
With the new season appeasing both new and old players of Fortnite, it is safe to say that the developers of the game are doing well. The recent addition of famous rapper Eminem, creator of popular songs such as “Rap God” and “Venom,” alongside Snoop Dogg, a fellow rapper and creator of “Drop it like it’s Hot,” has caused many players to return to the game for a taste of the glory of a Victory Royale.
