Recently, St. Louis High School students are always talking about entertaining games to play. Whether it is a new game that just came out or a game that is becoming popular again, everyone has different opinions on what should be played. Students are also talking about if games can be beneficial or not.
Junior Abby McCulley said, “I’d say board games are pretty fun. They give you the opportunity to interact with people in real life and overall it’s a good way to spend your time.” She also said, “On the other hand, video games are popular, but I wouldn’t say I like them as much, only because I believe video games don’t give you the opportunity to interact with people as much as you should.”
Another student Senior Kaya Munoz said, “I think games are a fun opportunity for both players and creators of the games. They bring out the creativity in creators by letting them come up with a fun challenge or goal in an investing way.” Munoz added, “The games also bring out the players creativity in their problem-solving skills and their strategizing. In this way, games are beneficial in giving people fun breaks from their daily activities while still challenging the mind in some way.”
Finally, sophomore Karli Hardy said, “I think games are good for people. They provide people with entertainment and a chance to bond with other people.” Hardy also added, “I think games are beneficial for people by improving creativity and sometimes teamwork.”
Overall, students have different opinions but also some similar opinions on games. It’s safe to say that people agree games can be beneficial depending on what it is, and can be good for the players and creators both socially and mentally.
