The time of the year has come for the spooky season, and students at St Louis have received the spirit days for this year’s Halloween week to have some scary-great fun.
The spirit day themes for this year goes from Oct. 28, till Nov. 1. Monday Oct. 28 is Color Day. Freshmen are to wear green, sophomores are meant to wear purple, juniors will wear orange, and seniors are to wear black. Tuesday Oct. 29, is Teacher Swap. Students are to dress as teachers and teachers will dress as students. Wednesday Oct. 30, is Which Witch is Which. On this day, participants are meant to dress the same as someone else to be twins or triplets. Thursday Oct. 31, is Costume Day! This is the day everyone waits for. Students and teachers dress in his or her costume for the year. Finally, Friday Nov. 1, is Halloween Aftermath. After a late night of trick or treating, students get a day to come in in their pajamas.
Spirit days are a tradition held in all of the schools across St. Louis. All schools have their own spirit week they follow. Freshman Victoria Trevino says, “I love doing spirit days. It’s something to look forward to and make memories and get pictures together. It helps amp up Halloween week and makes it easier to get through school until Halloween!!” High school is an amazing place to make memories, and doing something like having a week of fun by dressing up helps make these memories.
Everyone has a day or two that he or she looks forward to the most. Senior Bethany Bowerman says, “I am most excited for dressing up for Halloween and the Halloween aftermath.” Pajama days and days to dress up are the favorite among the students at St Louis. Students get to dress up for the spirit of Halloween then get comfortable and cozy after the fright-filled holiday.
Halloween spirit week is a fun filled week for students and staff alike from simply wearing a specific color to wearing a full costume the day of Halloween. The spirit week will be fun for everyone!
