The St. Louis High School FFA program and plant science class are selling plants Wednesday, May 8, through Friday, May 10, after school until 5 p.m. They are also selling their products Saturday, May 11 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. The money raised will be used toward agricultural education and the FFA chapter. The sale is currently an annual event.

Students tended to these flowers from seedlings up until full bloom, and they have been doing so for over a month. There are about five different flowers to choose from.

Mr Bernia, the FFA advisor and plant science teacher, said, “I feel that this year, students have had an outstanding opportunity to learn about agriculture and plants. While they are doing very well, we’ve had some struggles with bugs and diseases. Students have used that to learn about proper care and maintenance for plants.”

“Everything seems to be going as planned. We don’t have as many plants as Mr. Bernia was hoping for, but I still think we’ll sell them all. There is a high demand in the community,” Kassidy Acker commented.

Make sure to stop by and pick up some fresh flowers!
