The new Spongebob Krabby Patty Kollab Burger and Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty were released at all Wendy’s food chain locations Oct. 8, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the hit show “SpongeBob SquarePants.”
The entire meal comes with the actual Krabby Patty Burger with lettuce, cheese, onions, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and the Krabby Patty secret sauce (in that order). Along with this is with a medium fry and a small pineapple-mango frosty labeled as the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty.
Students at Saint Louis High School have already gotten their hands on this new meal, and according to Bentley Inbody, “The burger was very bland. It just tasted like a regular burger, nothing really special.” Inbody was not exactly impressed after trying the Krabby Patty.
Parker Wonch was another student who tried this new meal. He said, “I was disappointed because there was supposed to be a special sauce, but it tasted just like the Big Mac sauce. I was really disappointed.”
Wonch continued on about his disappointments with the new burger: “There was way too much lettuce on the burger, there was little sauce, and it was actually kind of small,” he added.
Although a large disappointment to many was the Krabby Patty itself, there was at least the frosty to save the meal. Wonch said that the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty “… actually slapped. It was actually really good.”
All in all, the students at SLHS who have already tried the new Wendy’s Spongebob meal have been universally disappointed with the entire burger aspect. However, it seems the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty might save the ratings on this one!
