Streaming services have been around since 2005, and it started with Youtube being the first ever video streaming service. In 2007, Netflix debuted as the first popular video-on-demand service. Yet which service is truly the best?
When looking into movies, if variety is your style, then Hulu is your option. Yet if classic movies are what you like, then Netflix is what you should choose. When you want a practical and affordable route, Peacock is the best choice.
Movies aren’t the only streaming service, as there are many more services like Twitch and Discord to stream live and earn money from viewer donations.
These services also can be used to stream music for free but with some drawbacks. Most streaming services require one to pay a monthly plan, which can be costly. Some services are free but come with a different price… ADS! The services that are free are full of constant ads, which can be annoying when you’re just trying to listen to music or a podcast and the only way to bypass these ads is to buy premium. Another option is to pirate the music, which is illegal, and has viruses that can destroy one’s electronics.
Landen Collins said, “I hate it when my streaming service buffers when I’m trying to listen to music.” However, streaming services aren’t all that bad, as there are many upsides to services like being able to watch and listen to movies and music from different countries around the world. Honestly, there isn’t one single best streaming service because they’re all different enough that they can all be “the best” and is dependent on one’s preference.
