The St. Louis boys and girls cross country teams competed hard to place in the top five in each of their small school race divisions at Shepherd, Sept. 4. Additionally, each of the teams also placed in the top ten at the Bath Invitational, Sept. 7, in the Class Two races.

Along with these races came early season outlooks; Coach Jay Puffpaff claimed, “Both teams continued to take steps in the right direction as we continued to make progress towards our end of the season goals.”
Coming back from a slight foot injury at the very start of the season, Shattuck stated, “First race coming back, it felt as you would expect. Obviously really sore, but my body is ready for the season.”
