The Shark Tank had the pleasure of welcoming two new staff members for the new school year that started on Aug. 26, 2024.
With the chaos of schedule mix-ups and confused new students roaming the halls, two new staff faces stand out amongst the crowd. With teachers leaving the school, replacement was essential for the vacancies. Even when some teachers hadn’t left, their position was left open, allowing the new staff to make lasting memories in the tank.
The two new staff members include Mr. Giles, the history teacher, as well as Mr. Passalacqua, who is the math teacher.
Giles said, “I decided on St. Louis High School because I am an alumni of this awesome school. I love the small school atmosphere and I want to give back to my community. There is nothing like being a Shark, and there are so many unique things about our school such as the foot bridge, our mascot the Sharks, and all the awesome people who work in our school district.”
Mr. Passalacqula had the closing words for his favorite thing about his position of work stating, “The most rewarding aspects of a teaching position often involve making a positive impact on students’ lives. I have enjoyed watching students learn, grow, and achieve their goals.”
Students and staff as one group are excited to welcome both new staff members to the Shark Tank. With the first week over, many memories are to be made through the rest of the year.
