Rowan Harris:
This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for my friends most of all. My friends have made me who I am today, and I am so incredibly grateful for our bonds. I hope they stay with me through this Thanksgiving, and through many more. Of course, I’m also thankful for my family, for always supporting me and encouraging me to be my highest self. I’m also thankful for my classes at school, and my teachers. With the stress of college applications coming up, I’m incredibly grateful for the way I can depend on them for everything. I appreciate that they push me to be the best version of myself that I can. Finally, I’m also thankful for all of the opportunities I’ve had throughout the past year. The life lessons I’ve learned, friends I’ve made, and things I’ve gotten to do have truly improved my life for the better, and I’m choosing to be thankful about that this Thanksgiving.

To me, Thanksgiving is a time to come together with friends and family to celebrate the fortunes we have in our lives. This year I am thankful for everyone in my life as well as my animals. I enjoy being with them, and I am so grateful that they all support me in my endeavors. I can count on them just as much as they can on me. I am also thankful to my family, friends, and teachers for being great motivators for me each day. Additionally, I can’t wait to eat ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, and above all, homemade Chex Mix.
Claire Hubble:
I’m super thankful for my mom, she’s my best friend and biggest support. I’m also thankful for my dad who gives me an endless amount of bad jokes and nerdy facts, he makes my rough days easier. This Thanksgiving is going to be my first and last Thanksgiving at St. Louis High School, and my time here has been one of the best experiences of my life and I owe it all to the amazing support of the staff and students here. I will be spending Thanksgiving with my family, something that has been a yearly tradition since I was born. And of course, I have to mention my adorable golden retriever, Sadie, even though she pukes on my floor. I love her like crazy.
Skylar DuBois-Kleinhans:
Thanksgiving is something to be thankful about, and what I want to thank are the choices I have made to be on this team. Throughout my sophomore year, I’m most grateful about the band and also the band Walmart performance, which I thought was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I’m proud of. Thanksgiving is a holiday of haven where you spend time with your family and cherish the moments you do with them. If I could change anything, I would change nothing and make everything stay the same.
Gracie Lombard:
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. I like getting together with my family and watching the Thanksgiving Day parade while we eat lunch at my grandparent’s house. My favorite part of Thanksgiving aside from the food is going home to take a nap after our family get together. I am thankful for my family, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers, and for my ability to participate in the things I love.
Olesya Mullins:
Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate everything you’re thankful for. I am thankful for many things including all my coaches, my friends, my pets, and most importantly my family. For my thanksgiving most of my family goes to my aunts and uncles house for dinner, crafts, and just to spend time all together. After all, I can’t wait to eat turkey, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, stuffing, and the best of all pumpkin pie.
Kalen Lipka:
This Thanksgiving I am thankful for my family, both by blood and by choice. I’m thankful for my mother who does meal prep for me and makes sure I’m on top of my schoolwork and training on a daily basis. I’m thankful for my father who has taught me what it means to be a good man, and how to guide others on that path. And by extension, I am thankful for the elementary classes of St. Louis Public Schools that come in to visit my father regularly at the T.A. Cutler Memorial Library for story hour. They are the highlight of his day both when they come in to see him and when he is out and about in the world. I am thankful for my best friends that are willing to drop whatever it is they are doing when I need help, because they know that I would do the same for them without hesitation. And I didn’t realize it until just this year unfortunately, but I am also thankful for St. Louis High School. I have vastly underestimated how important my time in these halls have been, I have made the best of friends and the worst of enemies. I have changed and grown from just a 14 year old kid to a college, and eventually, career ready adult. So this Thanksgiving, please be sure to hold your loved ones close, and your plate of food closer.
