Christmas is coming up fast. People are making their Christmas lists, thinking about what they’re getting for their friends and family, but most importantly, they’re considering what kind of Christmas trees to put up: fake or real?
Sophomore Gracie Lombard’s family picks to celebrate Christmas with a fake Christmas tree. Lombard said, “Real Christmas trees can cause tree fires.” Lombard doesn’t think it’s too early to decorate for Christmas. She said, “Anytime after Halloween, you can decorate for Christmas.” Christmas time is such a fun time of the year, but Lombard’s favorite part about Christmas is just decorating her house and helping her grandma decorate.
Senior Kylie Acker and her family celebrate Christmas differently. They use a real Christmas tree. Acker said, “ It’s fun to get the Christmas tree each year. I go to this place in Weidman, and I like it because they have hot chocolate.” Acker also said, “Having a real tree you get the real Christmas experience, watering them, getting stabbed by the pine needles, and just decorating them.” Acker thinks the best time to decorate for Christmas is the day after Thanksgiving. Acker also said, “The best part of Christmas is when I go to my grandparents house and see everyone.”
Fellow senior Claire Hubble and her family celebrate Christmas with a fake tree. Hubble said, “The best time to decorate for Christmas is after Thanksgiving but like early December.” Hubble also said, “My favorite part of Christmas is putting Christmas pajamas on my dog.”
Overall, these students are super excited for Christmas, and no school makes everything even better!
