It may be hard to believe, but the class of 2024 already has the order forms for their cap and gowns, and the seniors have different thoughts regarding the matter.
Graduating in just six months, the seniors have to start preparing for their graduation ceremony, and Friday, Nov. 10, Herff Jones came to the school to give a presentation on the class of 2024 apparel for seniors. This includes rings, necklaces, shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, and above all, the infamous cap and gown.
The class of 2024 has a good mix of students who have been going to St. Louis since the beginning as well as some newbies. No matter where they started, they are all finishing here at St. Louis. Their 13 years of school are slowly coming to an end, and there are some mixed emotions about the senior merchandise. Ranging from sadness to excitement, and somewhere in between.
Lauren Gager commented on the matter by saying, “I’m excited to get my cap and gown, and I’m glad we get to keep them. It will be cool to look at later down the road.” Additionally, Olivia Good stated, “I’m really excited to get my cap and gown. I think it starts the real senior experience, and I’m really excited to rep all the swag and show everyone that I’m a senior.” Finally, Alonna Farkas remarked, “I’m a bit sad that we are already purchasing our cap and gowns, but I’m also excited that it’s finally coming!”
Having different thoughts, Rowan Harris explained her feelings on the cap and gown explaining, “I feel like they told us way too late for the people who need to pay in person. People say that we’re ‘growing up too fast’, but of course, we are getting our caps and gowns because it is our senior year of high school!”
Graduation will be here before they know it, and the class of 2024 will be able to show off their gear until then.
