Many students from St. Louis High School recently attended FFA Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. FFA nationals basically allows students to do different workshops with people around the country at this single event.
This was freshman Ashleigh Devine’s first year going to FFA nationals. Devine said, “I really liked the opening session. There was a motivational speaker, and I found that really interesting.” Devine also said, “We went and watched my cousin compete in the agricultural issue team for the Ogemaw Heights FFA.” Devine enjoyed every minute of this trip and will gladly go back next year.
Many students thought the trip was a super cool one, including Kenzie Davidson. Davidson said, “The trip was so fun overall, and I loved it so much.” Davidson really liked how she gained so many memories with the group and her best friends, Alexis Hitsman and Maggie Allen. The only thing Davidson didn’t like about the event was how they had to wake up early.
There were many things that were super interesting about this event. One thing Davidson found super interesting was how there were over 69,000 people at that one place, which included the FFA advisers or their friends and the FFA members. She finds this very fascinating because this shows how people can come together as a whole.
Another student, junior Rebekah Ross, thought the trip was fun, but kinda overwhelming. Ross’ favorite part about the whole trip was meeting the Tratter Gang and Facetiming her mom so she could talk to them. Even though Ross thought the trip was super fun she said, “It felt like we were walking forever.” Once again Ross found the amount of people who came to this event really cool. Even though Ross is a junior, this is her very first time going and she will gladly do it again!!
It appears most students really liked going to FFA nationals, and most of them will be back next year. Although the event seemed to be pretty long, the students had tons of fun, met great people, and made some great memories with each other.
