Saint Louis JV volleyball hosted its last tournament of the season. The tournament was a long one, which contained around 10-15 teams.
Freshman Aubery Bearden thought she did okay, which was good considering she was sick that same week, so she wasn’t much prepared. Bearden said, “I think the season was okay.” Bearden also said, “The team could have been better if we were closer together.” Bearden thinks the team could have been more positive throughout the year. Bearden’s favorite part of Saturday was when she prayed before each game with her best friend Emalee Acre. Bearden said, “I wish my serves I received would have been better,” and she wishes making a mistake wouldn’t have affected her.
Sophomore Saige Chase wishes the team could have done better, even though they did good. She also feels the team has to get better for the upcoming season. Chase said, “I did okay overall, but I wish I didn’t get upset after my mistakes.” Chase feels like her sets were good, and will continue to put in the work for next year’s season.
Freshman Tess Farkas thought she played very well. She said, “The season went okay, the team had lots of ups and downs but they powered through it.” Farkas also said, “The most exciting part of Saturday was when I was able to play with the same girls for the last time.” Farkas feels like she could have covered her tips more. Farkas will continue to put in the work for next year.
The Sharks had a great and fun year, they will continue to get better for the upcoming season.
