Snapchat has officially updated its bitmoji system as of Oct.10, and lots of people are furious about the new update and have different opinions about it.
Snapchat’s big reason was to make the avatars three-dimensional, and there is no possible way to change the avatar back. Many people are upset about this and really disappointed and the developer team isn’t doing anything about it. The talk around St. Louis High School hallways are a big annoyance with this situation. However, there is only one possible way to fix this problem, and that is to delete the bitmoji and make a new account.
Students express their emotions and thoughts about this new feature, yet there is a possibility that they won’t change this. Sophomore Gracie Lombard openly expressed her feelings, stating, “I think they were better off before, and they just made it look weird. I don’t think they should keep it because the majority of people dislike them anyway and I would just change it as it was.” However, she isn’t the only one talking about the new bitmoji. Junior Kaydence Heiden said, “I really disliked the idea of them changing the avatar, since it was all right on how it was, and they just made the model more realistic and it was horrible. Generally, I would change it back to the 2D model and just leave it how it was. There was no reason they should have changed it.”
Though this isn’t the only new feature that Snapchat added that people were disgruntled about, as in interface changing and having a new design that is making people want the app to change it back. Overtime, Snapchat is planning on changing the app more and more, which might make people more angry about the app. Even though this happens a lot, different news from Snapchat might make people less frustrated with the app.
