Saint Louis High School had its Homecoming dance Saturday, Oct. 7. It was different from earlier years, including a new theme and a new Disc Jockey.
Senior Kylie Acker thought the homecoming dance was super fun. Acker said, “My favorite part of the dance would have to be when the DJ played the ‘Church Clap’ song and then everyone did the dance.” Even though there was a new DJ this year, Acker still thinks that they did very well. “Unfortunately some songs the DJ played were harder to dance to than the others. Overall, I think it was a great dance,” said Acker.
Another student’s perspective of the dance was sophomore Gracie Lombard, who thought the dance was an okay experience. Lombard’s favorite part of the dance was the decorations, and she loved them! “I feel like the DJ could have been better,” shared Lombard. “Because he didn’t listen to anyone’s song requests, and he only played the songs he wanted to play.”
Freshman Maggie Allen wanted to share her input about the Homecoming dance. “My favorite part of the dance was when I got to dance with her friends, but I wished the DJ played the songs students wanted,” shared Allen. She also really loved the dance decorations, and thought they were amazing. Overall, Allen had a really fun experience at her first homecoming.
Finally, junior Landon Pestrue wanted to talk about his experience with the dance. Unfortunately, Pestrue only liked the photo booth. “I thought it was really creative and fun. I really wished the DJ played more classic songs and I think the DJ could have been better.” Pestrue thought the theme was really cool, but he also thinks there could have been a better alternative.
The dance overall seemed to be a good experience from most people, but next year could be better yet.
