The Shark Tank welcomed Link students all away from Germany, Wednesday, Sept. 27, to join high school students and learn about the style of education in America. These Link students will be following American students to their classes to learn with them.
Throughout the halls of the high school, excitement can be seen on the students’ faces with lots of talk about the Link students. One student, Rebakah Ross, shared her thoughts, saying, “Honestly, I was scared at first that we wouldn’t like each other, but once we met, it seemed that everything was fine. It’s hard to know what to talk about and confirm each other’s schedules. I’m really excited now that they are here and can’t wait to see what we can do together in the future.”
Though students have lots of emotions and thoughts, teachers also have some thoughts about the classes with visitors in her class. Geometry teacher Ms. Schutt said, “One of my students brought in Kate, who was very respectful, very nice, and didn’t have anything to say. She sat there quietly and nodded while I was teaching my lecture. She was a great and overall awesome student, and I would love to have her in my class forever.”
Everyday throughout the hallways, these students will be seen roaming with other students, going to different classes, and experiencing what they are going to learn. Even though all students don’t host German students, these visitors can be easily spotted. Students and teachers were excited and hyped for these students to arrive, and more news awaits about them and their visit.
