This fall at St.Louis High School, Homecoming preparations are in full swing. With the Homecoming court having been announced, the whole school is filled with a buzz about the senior court and who will be Homecoming King or Queen. Here are bios for the senior court for voting options.
- Lucee Mikek has been an all “A” honor roll student for her time at SLHS. She has also been a four-year participant in volleyball and basketball. Speaking of extracurriculars, Mikek is also an active member of Spanish Club, National Honors Society (NHS), Business Professionals of America (BPA), and St. Louis foreign exchange student program, LINKS. Mikek is a fun-loving, hard-working SLHS student who loves to spend time with her loved ones and reading in her free time.
- Myah Pitcher has attended St. Louis Public Schools her whole life. Pitcher is also a four year all “A” Honor Roll member, and is also a member of NHS, BPA and Spanish Club. Pitcher enjoys playing games and reading in her free time.
- Jaiden Dickman is the final female nominee for homecoming court this year, and is just as exceptional as her competition for the crown this year. Dickman is a four year member of SLHS’s Cross Country, and a three year member of the basketball and track teams, she also is a part of BPA and NHS. Dickman is also a four year member of the all “A” honor roll.
- Dominick Girard is the first male court nominee this year and is an outstanding example of school pride. Every year during spirit week Girard has dressed to impress, and he has done so since he was just a kid. Girard loves anything to do with bringing the community together in support of SLHS students, and is an extremely active participant in the local community. Girard is a member of BPA and Spanish Club, he has also participated in Track and Field for three years. When he isn’t at his extracurriculars, Girard can be seen working at the local ice cream shop Frosty Cone or spending time with friends.
- Charlie Lyon is a high achieving student at SLHS, and is a member of FFA, BPA, and has participated in Track and Field for three years. In his free time, Lyon likes to go on walks and play basketball. Lyon wants everyone to enjoy the homecoming experience, stating, “ I don’t really care if I win; I just want people to have fun.”
- Curtis Brashaw is this SLHS’s resident car guru and potential homecoming king. Yet, cars aren’t all Brashaw knows about. He is an extensive scholar in general, having taken majority honors and AP classes during his time at SLHS. Brashaw is also a President of NHS, founder of GSA and Rotary, and a State Officer for Michigan BPA. He also works at City Hall as an intern.
Homecoming King and Queen will be announced at the St. Louis Homecoming game Friday, Oct. 6 with the Homecoming dance following on Saturday, Oct. 7.
