St. Louis High School senior Boone Childs made a costly exit from the school Friday, Sept. 15, as he did a burnout in the parking lot.
Childs had to pay a whopping $600 ticket due to his negligence in the parking lot. Unfortunately for Childs, there was a police officer parked at the end of the street, and he was caught at the scene of the crime.
His advice for anyone interested in doing the same is, “Look for cops before doing it.” He also gave note of his technique by saying, “[Use] A lot of gas and dump the clutch.” However, one may want to think twice before committing to doing a burnout. Not only will the culprit have to pay for new tires, but it can also kill your engine. With a $600 ticket, a $4,000 engine, and new tires being $600, the grand total to do a burnout in the parking lot could cost up to $5,200. That money could be spent on 743 Netflix subscriptions, five Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets, 2,007 McChickens, or even about 954 Starbucks drinks.
Classmate Olivia Good commented, “I think the ticket was very much deserved. Not only was it reckless driving, but it was also in a school zone. Like, come on bro.” Similarly, student Brook Campbell said, “I think it’s uncalled for because he can’t even do a good one.”
Not only could it be heard from the outside of the school, but students and staff heard it from inside as well. One student who was startled by the ruckus was Lauren Gager. She stated, “I was standing in the hallway during lunch, and I heard a loud noise, so I went outside. A few bystanders told me what happened, and they were just as shocked as I was. I didn’t realize the amount of noise burnouts make!”
Rubber was burned and flashing lights went off, but Childs never regretted his decision. Just remember when trying to impress the bros, watch out for the po-pos.

I have been to several burn out competitions. They were sponsored by local car clubs or city counsel. Can be pretty expensive and I sure didn’t tell my folks I used there 4 barrel carb 1966 ford Galaxy to pull out of the local drive thru. Lol

That sounds like one of the more stupid things kids may do.
