Dungeons and Dragons club recently kicked off at St. Louis High School Sept. 8! The D&D club is run by Mr. Albano, and anybody is welcome to join!
In the D&D club, students design a character and play in a campaign together and complete dangerous quests. The club meets every Friday from 3-5pm. There are many different possibilities depending on what you do. Senior Noah Buchanan is one of many new members this year! In fact, he said, “I’m enjoying it and can’t wait to see what happens next. My favorite part is getting to hang out with many interesting people.”
Another new member of the club, senior Harrison Miller, also shared his thoughts. “I am loving D&D club. I’m in charge of the group’s morale. My favorite part is the community.” Miller later explained how he wishes the group would meet to play more often. Sophomore Skylar DuBois-Kleinhans is also thoroughly enjoying the club. In fact, he said, “As the leader of my group, I love the group and enjoy leading it. My utmost favorite part is when we mess around and just have fun in general. I recommend joining D&D so you can have the experience of it.”
Rowan Harris, a senior, has been a member of the club since she was a sophomore! She said, “I enjoy it! The group certainly makes things fun. I’m a Dungeon Master, so that means I sort of lead the group. My favorite part of the club is having fun with my friends. I would recommend joining to other students, regardless of their level of experience!”
Mr. Albano is in charge of the D&D club, and is very passionate about it! He expressed his thoughts as, “It’s like a complex board game without the board, everyone’s there to have a good time and have some laughs. I enjoy giving the time, space, and supplies to make constructive and fond memories of their time in high school. That is exactly what I am providing. If anyone at all is interested in D&D, but is unsure of their skill or background knowledge, we can have you try it out, or sit in to see what it is like!”
